Aside from the Danang Museum, the Da Nang Museum of Cham Sculpture is the best place to learn about this ancient kingdom. Housing the country’s largest collection of Cham artifacts, visitors can find 2,000 sandstone, terracotta, and bronze Cham sculptures.

On the second floor of the Danang museum is where you can learn about the many wars fought on Vietnamese soil. Particularly revealing are the exhibits on war crimes and the aftermath of the wars fought against the French and Americans.

On the third floor of the Danang museum is an exhibition highlighting Danang and neighboring Quang Nam’s ethnic communities. Displayed are labor, weaving, and knitting tools as well as costumes and art that represents these cultures.

The Co Tu people are an example of one ethnic community who have been living alongside nature in the mountainous regions of Tay Giang, Dong Giang, Quang Nam, Hue, and Danang. Living sustainably and self-sufficiently off the land, these peaceful people are among a few in Vietnam who embrace tradition.
