Da Nang Shines At The 2024 Michelin Ceremony

11/07/2024

The Michelin Guide Ceremony took place in Ho Chi Minh City on June 27th. The evening featured an unveiling of its highly coveted star ratings, the sustainability Green star selection, the ever popular Bib Gourmand category, as well as special awards for Young Chef, Sommelier, and Service. Focusing on the smallest city out of the three awarded, let’s take a look at the newly anointed Michelin star restaurants in Da Nang.

Da Nang Food Scene & Michelin Effect

Though not as well known compared to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Da Nang is quickly making a name for itself as one of Vietnam’s premier dining destinations. With everything from humble street food vendors serving up delectable bowls of mi quang to lavish fine dining eateries with tastes of the East and West, Da Nang has it all.

The effect of the Michelin Guide is only going to spur Da Nang’s booming dining scene forward. With the city’s constant economic growth and rise in tourism, the abundance of eateries promises a future in which more restaurants and street food vendors alike are selected by the Michelin Guide. Essentially, Da Nang’s only getting started.
